I sang this song in a bathroom stall with my friend Maddie Storvold. Here's what she had to say regarding her inspiration.
"I wrote this song in the wake of feeling totally moved/enraged/elated by the Women's Marches and the sociopolitical environment that spurred them. We rehearsed and filmed this song in a bathroom stall - covered in affirmations, expressions of rage, jokes, names, pictures. It was inspiring. I wanted to challenge and subvert the old joke that women always go to the bathroom in groups. We go together to stand in solidarity, to protect one another, to come together and be a part of something stronger."
